Stitch-free, non-surgical mole removal with laser and radiofrequency following a dermatoscopic examination.

Get Rid of Your Moles Without Scars, Stitches or Surgery! A Safe Solution Backed by Dermatoscopic Analysis.

Moles (naevi) are clusters of cells that are either present on the skin from birth or appear later in life due to sun exposure, genetic factors or ageing; the vast majority are benign. Of the moles we encounter in our clinical practice, approximately 9,999 in 10,000 are completely benign. In other words, only 1 in 100,000 moles is dangerous.

However, these moles can be aesthetically bothersome, particularly on the face, neck and around the eyes, and they can cause everyday problems that lower your quality of life, such as catching on clothing, being nicked while shaving, friction and bleeding.

At Dr. Ahmet Demir Clinic, mole removal is performed without a scalpel and without leaving stitch marks, using Laser and Radiofrequency (Vaporisation) technologies, in a non-surgical and exceptionally comfortable way.

What Is Mole Removal and How Is It Performed?

Mole removal is the process of clearing naevus tissue lodged in the upper and lower layers of the skin by vaporising it at a microscopic level (ablation), without harming the surrounding healthy skin.

Because conventional surgical excision requires stitches, it can leave scars that, once healed, are more noticeable than the mole itself. For this reason, the most modern methods for aesthetically visible areas are Laser and Radiofrequency treatments:

  • Laser Mole Vaporisation: Laser beams target the pigment and cellular structure of the mole tissue and vaporise it with millimetre precision.
  • Radiofrequency (RF) Mole Removal: Using the heat energy delivered by radio waves, the mole tissue is removed without bleeding and without stitches. It delivers fast, effective results, especially for very small moles and raised or skin-tag-type lesions.

A Personalised Treatment Catalogue for Different Types of Moles

The structure of the mole you see in the mirror and its location determine which treatment method will be used:

Red Moles (Cherry Angioma)

These are small, red-to-burgundy vascular spots that commonly appear on the torso, chest, neck and face. Their number may increase with ageing, genetic predisposition or hormonal changes. These vascular lesions carry no risk of turning into cancer and are cleared within seconds, without a trace, using Laser or Radiofrequency energy.

Moles on the Face and Around the Eyes

These are moles that affect your facial expression, draw attention in photographs or cannot be concealed even with make-up. Moles in the most delicate areas of the skin, such as under the eyes and on the eyelids, are safely removed with laser and radiofrequency technologies that minimise the risk of scarring.

Skin Tags (Acrochordons)

These are soft, stalked growths of tissue that usually appear on the neck, underarms, groin and under the breasts. They can bleed when they catch on clothing or jewellery. In most cases they are removed within seconds in a single session using Laser or RF.

Black and Dark-Coloured Moles

These moles have a high pigment density and deeper roots. After their borders are examined dermatoscopically, they are brought level with the skin using a gradual vaporisation technique.

Moles in the Beard, Nape and Scalp in Men

These are moles that are repeatedly cut by the razor while shaving, bleed and become infected. Laser and RF methods clear the mole tissue without damaging the beard and hair follicles, making shaving comfortable again.

Small and Superficial Skin Moles

For moles described as "very small, but they bother me", surgical stitches would create an unnecessary scar, so non-surgical removal with laser and radiofrequency is the most aesthetic solution.

Dermatoscopic Examination (Mole Mapping) and Our Safety Standards

Our core approach at Dr. Ahmet Demir Clinic: Medical Safety First, Aesthetics Second.

Before the procedure, every mole is examined in detail with a Dermatoscope (a Specialised Magnifying Skin Analysis Device). The mole’s colour, borders, asymmetry and depth are assessed according to medical criteria (the ABCDE Rule).

  • If a mole shows a suspicious (atypical) structure, instead of aesthetic vaporisation it is referred for surgical assessment so that it can be examined pathologically.
  • Moles confirmed to be benign are removed with non-surgical methods on the very same day.

What Do We Do? Why Choose Us? (The Dr. Ahmet Demir Clinic Approach)

  • Debunking the "Removing a Mole Causes Cancer" Myth: This widespread popular belief is completely unfounded. Removing a benign mole with the right technology does not lead to cancer; on the contrary, removing moles that are constantly irritated and bleeding protects the skin.
  • A Medical Warning Against Home Treatments: Spot/mole acids sold online, mole-burning pens or thread-tying methods can cause permanent pits, severe pigmentation and serious infections. Mistakenly treating a cancerous lesion that was assumed to be a mole can even become life-threatening.
  • Aiming for Scar-Free Healing: Our goal is not just to eliminate the mole, but to help the tissue regain its own natural colour and smoothness.

Benefits of the Procedure and Why It Must Be Performed by a Physician

  • No Surgical Incision or Stitches: No dressings, no stitch removal and no worries about surgical scars.
  • Very Fast and Painless: Removing a single mole takes an average of 10–15 minutes, including preparation. Thanks to local anaesthesia, you feel no pain at all.
  • Must Be Performed by a Physician: Distinguishing benign from malignant moles (dermatological diagnosis) and working in the correct skin layer is vitally important. Because incorrect treatment can cause malignant lesions to be overlooked or leave permanent scars, the procedure must always be performed by a physician.

Frequently asked questions

Is Laser Mole Removal Painful?

No. Before the procedure, local anaesthesia is given beneath the mole with a very fine needle. Because the area is completely numbed, the patient feels no pain at all during the procedure.

Will Laser Mole Removal Leave a Scar?

In suitable cases, and when laser/RF procedures are performed under a physician’s control, no noticeable scar remains. A small scab forms during the first 7–10 days after the procedure. Once the scab falls off, the slightly pink tissue underneath gradually blends in with your normal skin colour.

What Is the Healing Process Like After Mole Removal?
  • The area should not get wet or be cleaned for the first 24 hours.
  • The small scab that forms should not be picked off with your nails; let it fall off on its own.
  • After the scab falls off, sunscreen should be used to prevent any pigmentation.
Can a Removed Mole Grow Back?

For benign moles, after ablation that includes the root, the risk of the mole recurring at the same spot is negligibly low. In some black moles with very deep roots, a millimetre-sized return of colour may rarely occur; in that case, a tiny touch-up is sufficient.

Can More Than One Mole Be Removed in a Single Session?

Yes. At the patient’s request, several moles on the face or body can be safely removed in the same session.

Mole Removal Prices 2026 – Istanbul: What Determines the Cost?

Mole removal prices are determined individually according to the size and depth of the mole, whether it is raised or superficial, how many moles are to be removed and the chosen technology (Laser/RF).
